Capital Maintenance Planning of Underground Assets

In recent years capital maintenance planning of the replacement of underground assets has become a risk based assessment, as described in the UKWIR approach.

Crowder have developed both performance and risk based approaches with software tools and processes for pipe assets. The performance of pipe assets is assessed using historical data. The risk assessment is based on deterioration functions and consequence analysis to produce schemes which achieve a required level of service or a required budget.
