Company Overview

Crowder Consulting was founded in 1985 and became a limited company in 1994. The company has continued to grow and develop and now employs around 90 professional staff and associates, split into three main areas:

  • 55% Consultancy and Fieldwork
  • 15% Data and Information
  • 30% Software Development

Our Clients

We have an established client base in the UK and Ireland through consultancy frameworks and IS service agreements for implementing and supporting our Netbase system. Our clients include Thames Water, Severn Trent Water, Northumbrian Water, Yorkshire Water, United Utilities, Northern Ireland Water, Bristol Water, Dee Valley Water and Irish Water.

We have a growing number of international clients, through our strategic partnerships, for implementing Netbase and providing consultancy services for NRW programmes. Our clients in Malaysia include Air Selangor – Kuala Lumpur, AKSB – Kelantan State, JBA – Labuan Federal Territory, and PAIP – Pahang State. Elsewhere, Maynilad Water – Philippines, WSC – Bahamas, NWC – Jamaica, Compesa – Brazil, Shanghai Water – China, EWA – Bahrain, and NWC – Saudi Arabia.

Our Partnerships

In order to implement Netbase internationally and provide consultancy services for NRW programmes, we have formed strategic partnerships with established water services providers. These include Jalur Cahaya, Ranhill, Prisma Sim-Foni and PLB in Malaysia, MWH in Bahrain, GeoSystems in Saudi Arabia, INESA in China and Miya in the Philippines, Bahamas, Jamaica and Brazil.


The organisation operates a quality management system that has gained BS EN ISO 9001:2008 certification which has been adapted to suit the requirements of water engineering and software development industries.

Our environmental policy complies with the requirements of BS EN ISO 140001 and has been implemented as part of our Environmental Management System.
